down in hotlanta — in the dirty dirty …

i arrived in atlanta last night… and drove up to Emory in my gross, blue, cigarette smoke-permeated PT cruiser… and finally got to see my angema!!!

first, i must comment on Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson Airport. It’s soooo pretty. I sat in the atrium for a while, which, if i am correct, was the inspiration for Miss Vintage’s song “atrium” haha.

Today, I saw my building for the first time, the Grace Crum Rollins Building for the Rollins School of Public Health. whee! it was the usual… mingling, networking, free beer, and free burritos. yum.

it was quite sunny, so they gave us these for protection:

notice what it says on the package… “sunscreen: the other protection in a foil wrapper”. har har har. very clever. i haven’t had a chance to eat much yet, but maybe i’ll comment on that later.

one thing is for sure… everyone here is WAYY too nice.
